After 5 long weeks of grueling WODs, the 2016 Crossfit Open has come to a bittersweet end. We are extremely proud of everyone who participated and for members who supported (and cheered) on athletes through every rep. Congratulations to Adrian San Pedro who took 1st place at 510Crossfit!
We encourage you to take what you've learned from this experience and challenge yourself to improve on your weaknesses and build on your strengths. It's all about PROGRESS.
With that said, training for the 2017 Open starts NOW! Lets continue to give 110% everyday and gear up for next year.
For those of you interested in watching the CrossFit Regionals or CrossFit Games in person, talk to Coach Rob or Coach Alex for further information. It's a 3 day event held in Southern California.
"By comparing yourself to others, you limit yourself to being only as excellent as they may be and in so doing, prevent yourself from achieving a higher level of accomplishment that you never knew possible. Let others be guides, not goals"

Coach's Corner: The 1/4 Squat Position
This month we talk about how to efficiently catch in a quarter squat position. This can be used for a Clean or Snatch. We also go over some of the most common mistakes that we see, and how to correct them.
The best way to get better at catching in a quarter squat, is to practice at a light weight. Until you are consistent in your routine, then you can consider going up in weight. This takes time and practice. Be meticulous on your technique, and try to focus on getting close to perfect before moving up.
