How did you get started with CrossFit?
Karina: Myself and a couple of coworkers decided to try CrossFit out less than a year ago. And now I'm hooked! I just keep setting new goal to meet for myself! When I set foot in this box I started from step one, and with direction and encouragement of the awesome coaches at 510CrossFit, in less than a year I've been able to accomplish things I would've never thought I could do!
Gurjeet: We saw an add in groupon, one of our co workers was working out here, tried it out for month fell in love with it.
Favorite WOD or movement?
Karina: My favorite movement has to be the deadlift.
Gurjeet: Dead lifts
Least favorite WOD or movement?
Karina: Wall Balls has to be my least favorite movement.
Gurjeet: Hate burpees with a passion
What is your proudest CrossFit accomplishment so far?
Karina: My proudest accomplishment thus far has to be placing 2nd in the scaled division at our Halloween in house comp.
Gurjeet: Placing second in the in house comp
What do you love about 510CrossFit?
Karina: This box is so diverse. Everyone is so supportive and willing to help you when you need. Alex, Rob and Jerome are great! They are so knowledgeable and patient!
Gurjeet: I love the encouragement that you get from your fellow workout buddies and the coaches. Especially the coaches, Rob, Alex and Jerome they all are very patient and supportive. Every time you come in you want to better yourself.
What would you tell people who are not sure about trying CrossFit?
Karina: If any one is unsure of starting Cross Fit I would say "don't believe the stereotypes and try it out for yourself!"
Gurjeet: Everyone is a beginner at some point, don't be discouraged if you can't get it right the first time. Be patient and celebrate all your little accomplishments.
What is your favorite quote or motto?
Karina: Don't be afraid of being a beginner.
